The best place to find home listings, both active and closed, is to talk to a Realtor®. A Realtor® has access to every property that is listed or sold. In the Chicago metro area, nearly all homes are available at mlsni.com, which is not available to the public.
If you are causally browsing properties, I would suggest one of the sites to the left, as they can provide a good amount of depth in your search. If you find a property listed that interests you, contact me. I will set up the appointment, find comparable properties as a reference, walk you through the buying process, and answer all your questions.
I personally have a targeted search of all active and sold homes listed in the surrounding blocks of my home, just to keep an eye on the market. Changes can be emailed to you on your schedule. The example below is a Cubs fan that wants to live in walking distance to the ball park. If this is something of interest, please let me know.
